Linden Thermoplastic Pellets

Also known as Friendly Plastic. These pellets are a non-hazardous polyester product that has a low melting point and plasticity over a wide temperature range just above ambient temperature. This material is odorless and stable in air and water to above 150°C. The low coefficient of thermal expansion enables it to be well suited for making accurate mold impressions. It is wonderful for frame and gilded furniture restoration. It softens in hot water (80°C), is allowed to cool to a manageable temperature and is then hand manipulated as a mold material. It sets just above room temperature.
